Job Description

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years experience in programming
Understanding of performance testing and optimization techniques.

Practical experience with JavaScript (Angular)
Working knowledge of PHP (Laravel Framework)
Foundational knowledge of Microsoft SQL
Familiarity with modern web technologies
A general understanding of Software Engineering practices and concepts
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and focus on requests with attention to detail
Must possess exceptional written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player in person and with remote teams
Strong organizational and time management skills

Conducts software and coding research, design, implementation and maintenance of D&A’s software programs to include:
Participates in planning and implementing all D&A application development projects
Contribute to overall architectural design of web applications and services and provide recommendations to senior staff
Works closely with other developers, business and systems analysts
Maintains robust understanding of business processes and needs in order to deliver accurate solutions
Develops, maintains, and enhances high quality software code in accordance with established organization standards and development guidelines
Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
Determine operational practicality
New program evaluation and testing
Improve and maintain code-base health
Integrate with software APIs as required
Developing quality assurance procedures
Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
Produces technical documentation that accurately and thoroughly depicts the software design and code base
Ensures best practices for coding, architecture, and security are consistently utilized across all teams, and maintains responsibility for the quality development of applications
Makes recommendations and assists in the implementation of changes to workflow and procedures when applications are developed, new processes are implemented or new information security guidelines are established
Duties and responsibilities performed within one’s capabilities that do not constitute a major change may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the supervisor and Human Resources either orally or in writing.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $52,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
