DES PLAINES, IL – D&A Services, LLC, a collection agency headquartered in Des Plaines, IL, continued its support for the Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines through a company food drive and donation of goods to help supplement the purchase of groceries and supplies for community families in need. 

Challenge Accepted

The food pantry hosted a “Food Fight Challenge” throughout the community from February 1 to March 1, 2022. D&A team members helped by donating items throughout the month until Anthony Crews, President, and Greg Neely, COO delivered the final drop-off. In November 2021, D&A donated over 1,600 pounds of food to the food pantry and is glad to continue their support this year.

Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines

The Self Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines is an independent, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. It runs with a staff of 70 volunteers and one part-time employee serving as the Executive Director. The Pantry serves more than 400 households – all in the city of Des Plaines or with children in Des Plaines public schools. Local schools, churches, businesses, fraternal organizations, individuals and the City of Des Plaines provide the majority of food and financial support to the Pantry.

D&A Services, LLC is a business member of the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and strives to take an active role in the community through contributions to local organizations including the food pantry, and participation in events such as the annual Maryville Academy Holiday Toy Drive
